Born in New York and raised in Puerto Rico, Jimmy grew up savoring and creating a variety of cross cultural Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Spanish delights, which he would later famously blend into the Chef-inspired menu of the Jimmy’z Kitchen restaurants. A graduate of the Johnson & Wales Culinary School, Chef Jimmy has built a solid reputation in Miami among foodies, restaurant owners, and South Florida VIP’s, as a creative chef and restaurateur. His multicultural experience and love of traditional and eclectic foods combined with his personal culinary artistry, is reflected in Jimmy’z Kitchen’s preparation of imaginative American, Spanish, French, and Nuevo Latino dishes.

Jimmy'z Kitchen is a privately owned South Florida “chef” fast casual chain of American-Latin fusion contemporary restaurants. Chef Jimmy Carey pioneered in Miami the Chef-inspired fast casual concept renowned for its healthy and delicious fare. Jimmy'z Kitchen has been recognized by Zagat; chosen by Yelp as one of the best reviewed restaurants in Miami, and named as one of the 38 Must-Visit Restaurants by Eater Miami.

Chef Jimmy Carey has carefully created a diverse 50+ dish menu of healthy choices ranging from appealing panini like the Cuban Sandwich and the Club Panini, to hearty salads like the Jerked Chicken and the Cobb. Known for its savory entrees, especially the traditional Puerto Rican Mofongo, visitors can find something for every palate including Steak Frites, Chicken Portabella or the Ahi Tuna Special. The varied menu is perfectly complimented with a distinctive and varied wine and craft beer selection.

Jimmy'z Kitchen has grown to include four locations: the flagship Wynwood restaurant at 2700 N. Miami Avenue, the smaller scale locations at South Beach (1542 Alton Rd) and Brickell (60 SW 10th Street), and the more family-oriented restaurant in the Pinecrest/South Miami area at 9050 S. Dixie Hwy.
